How to use Client Portal

Start by opening your project from the dashboard or the project switcher in the sidebar. Navigate to the project settings area, where you will find the Client Portal section. Here you configure the portal by entering your client's name, email address, and setting a 4-digit PIN code. Liru generates a unique portal URL automatically -- copy it with one click and send it to your client via email, WhatsApp, or any messaging tool you prefer. When your client receives the link, they open it in any browser on any device -- phone, tablet, or desktop. No app download is required and no account creation is needed. They simply enter the 4-digit PIN on the landing screen, and the portal opens immediately. The PIN is validated using timing-safe comparison, which means the system is hardened against brute-force attacks. Once inside, your client sees a branded project view with all the content you have chosen to share. This can include concept presentations with approval buttons, style quizzes to fill out, moodboards to react to, survey questionnaires, and a live budget summary. Each section is independently toggleable -- you decide exactly what is visible from the portal settings panel in your dashboard. As your client interacts with the portal -- approving presentation elements, completing quizzes, leaving comments on moodboards -- every action is captured and reflected in your project dashboard in real time. You can also set expiry dates on shared content for time-sensitive decisions. If the deadline passes, the content becomes view-only and the client sees a clear notice. You can update the PIN at any time, regenerate the portal link if needed, or revoke access entirely. Multiple team members on your side can see client activity as it happens, keeping everyone aligned without a single follow-up email.
